An inspiring short trip to Berlin — full of encounters, insights and unforgettable moments. We had the great pleasure of visiting our Schagerl Artists and friends David Guerrier and Guillaume Jehl, the principal trumpeters of the Berlin Philharmonic.
These were warm reunions, full of intense conversations about music, instruments, and the shared passion for the pursuit of perfection. The clear highlight was the concert of the Berlin Philharmonic featuring Anton Bruckner's monumental 8th Symphony (in the second version of 1890).
Experiencing how our work becomes part of such a breathtaking sound world is hard to put into words.
Backstage at the Philharmonie
David Guerrier was playing a new prototype from our workshop — a significant moment for us as a manufacturer. Backstage we were allowed to experience the special atmosphere of the Philharmonie: the intensity of the rehearsals, the focused silence just before the performance, the invisible choreography behind a great evening.
A few behind-the-scenes shots offer a glimpse into the everyday life of these extraordinary musicians and the dedication that stands behind their art. This trip was not only a professional milestone but also a powerful reminder of why we do what we do — the love of extraordinary music and the constant pursuit of the perfect sound.
What stayed
Berlin has its own kind of silence after the concert. We walked back on foot for a long stretch, across Potsdamer Platz, past the Sony Center. The city feels different after you have just heard the 8th symphony. And the Brandenburg Gate with the Christmas tree in front — that was the moment the trip turned into an image you keep.
