About this series

Product photography for Theory 11 — the New York-based premium playing card label that has redefined the world of cards, endorsed by magicians like David Blaine and frequently featured in Hollywood productions.

This series captures the official Grateful Dead Playing Cards deck by Theory 11, created in close collaboration with the legendary American rock band. Every card is a lovingly illustrated piece of band history: Steal-Your-Face skulls, Dancing Bears, roses, lightning bolts and psychedelic tarot motifs, printed on premium stock with fine linen finish and a smooth soft-touch coating — collector's items for cardistry, magic and poker nights alike.

I staged the deck in a warm, moody vintage setting: dark woods, burnt leather patina, antique pocket watches and brass chains — an atmosphere that lifts the iconic artwork of the cards while channeling the spirit of 60s/70s rock culture. The resulting still lifes were created for the US online shop and international magic communities, putting the exclusive craft behind the cards center stage.

As a product photographer focused on premium brand worlds, I combine technical precision with narrative imagery — whether for Theory 11 decks, premium instruments, or editorial work. Each image is meant to show not just the product, but its cultural context.
